First trip to Hawaii and couldn't have picked a better place! We enjoyed our honeymoon watching the incredible sunsets off the balcony. The unit is incredibly close to the water and we were able to enjoy the crashing sounds of the waves our entire trip. It was a great way to relax us during our sleep each night. I give it all an A+!

WE WERE THERE 3 WEEKS IN NOVEMBER ,2009. GETTING AWAY FROM THE USUAL FAST PACE, IT WAS SO NICE TO JUST RELAX WITH NO PRESSURE. THE BIGGEST STRESS IS TO DECIDE WHETHER TO HAVE DINNER OUT, OR TO COOK IN THE CONDO AND EAT AT OUR OWN OCEAN FRONT TABLE .. ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH , AND THE OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL IN

A203 was absolutely the best unit in Papakea. For those of you who like to here the ocean 24/7, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back and try to stay in this same unit again.

oceanfront condo. It had all the amenities you could hope for, and a great bargain. Jan was very easy to
work with as well, and would stay here again in the future.

Riverside CA

I have stayed a few times at A203. This is the best condo and the best price I have found. Sunset each night on the Lanai. I left the slider open all night so I could go to sleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to the sound as well. Forget the hotel thing and stay here.

My wife and I stayed in #A203 for 8 days in 9/09. We had spent the previous week in a newer high-rise condo development a few miles south of Papakea. We much preferred our time in this unit. As so many have commented, the ocean front location was the key. Nothing like sleeping with the doors open to the sound of the surf. Also 7am NFL football viewing on the lanai
Shops and small restaurants within walking distance. You have to stop in Java Jazz for the atmosphere. Great fun.
Great location to explore all the beaches by car. Public parking and facilities at most. Great walking trail begins at Kapalua and runs north.

My husband and I have stayed in A203 for four days. We liked the apartment so much! It has everything you need. Bamboo furniture with comfy armchair is really nice.
The view from the lanai to the ocean is absolutely fantastic! We never turn on air conditioning. It was very comfortable with door opened to lanai.
I liked our couple dinners at lanai with beautiful sunset at the background. It is unforgettable! So we have relaxed there that much that forgot the book, which Jan kindly sent back to us.
The first morning we had an orientation session with a complementary breakfast. The session was petty useful. We booked there the snorkeling tour on Ali Nui, the brand new beautiful catamaran, and really enjoyed sailing and snorkeling at Turtle town area. We also booked luau at Royal Lahaina Hotel resort with fire dancing which was great.
Definitely we would recommend A203 to everyone and hope to come back one day!

We loved our stay in Maui and at Papakea A203. The best sunset views. The complex is well appointed and relaxed.We will be returning in a couple of years to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.

We look forward to our return soon. It was so difficult to pack up and leave! We spent 10 fantastic nights celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary in Papakea #A203 and they couldn't have been better. We too enjoyed the sunsets, hiking, beach walks, disc golf in Kapalua, snorkeling right out in front of the complex (all sorts of wonderful fish!), nightly hot tubs, waking up to the sounds of the ocean, papayas for breakfast on the lanai, whales jumping out of the ocean, wonderful food from the Farmer's Market, excellent restaurants within walking distance and I could go on and on. We are tall people and so the shower head was a little low, but that is the ONLY critical comment I would have to say. I actually looked up the website at work today...just to get a visual of what I was missing. Wonderful peaceful and clean location. We hope to return next year too. Fantastic vacation.

SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA

This was the second time we have stayed in A202. This year we enjoyed not having to turn on the A/C as the weather was perfect and we could enjoy the ocean air. We celebrated our anniversary so we used the beautiful champagne flutes for our champagne breakfast on the lanai. Jan is the best of owners. She lives on the island and is so accomodating. The condo has everything at your fingertips. We enjoyed our ocean front view, sunsets, pool, beach and seeing the dolphins. The condo is so quiet except for hearing the ocean which is the best. Our favorite restaurants were Sansei, Longhi's and Lahaina Fish Co. We can't wait to return to A202!

Jan, We had a great week in your condo. We've stayed at Papakea and know it is a great place and were very pleased to find out your place was just as described in your ad. We go to Hawaii to relax and kick back on the beaches and enjoy the ocean. Your condo is perfect for us. To be able to leave the beaches and come back and still enjoy the sounds and sites of the ocean on your lanai is fantastic. If anyone wonders how close this place is to the ocean I was able to lightly toss an ice cube and hit the ocean. I was also really impressed with your call to us a few days in to our stay making sure everything was OK. Your emails and overall communication about our stay was above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks for everything...We are already trying to figure out when we can go again. Monty Simmmons

This is our third stay in A-202. The first we got engaged on the Lanai at Sunset. The second we came back for our Honeymoon, and the third was five years to the day of our engagement. This time we brought our 19 month old Son Aidan. It was quite special and the three of us had a wonderful time. You cannot get a better view from your room in Maui,it is perfect to wind down in the evening. I recommend Jan's Hospitality and the wonderful Papakea.

When we arrived to Papakea 202a it was late at night. We walked into the room, and the sights ands sounds of the ocean took my breath away. The views from our balcony were beautiful. This place was even better than we imagined it to be. The amenities provided were perfect, including the dishwasher, washer and dryer, full kitchen etc. It was one of the best vacations my husband and I have ever taken and was the perfect choice for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. We spent 12 days there and had the time of our lives!!! Jan's suggestions were very helpful and it was nice to know she was only a phone call away, if needed. Thank you Jan, for a place that we will always remember, and hope to return to soon.

This was our second stay in A-202. The view and location can not be beat. Being in the "A" building, you are away from the majority of people so it feels more secluded. The view is amazing and being on the second floor gives a far better experience of sunsets and whale watching, plus, you do not have people walking past your door as you do on the lower level units. Jan had made some changes since the last stay including a new stove and washer/dryer. The unit was clean upon arrival and plenty of towels/linens were on hand. Jan's communciation was excellent and organized. She even checked in with us mid-stay to see if we needed anything. Overall, renting this unit was a painless process. I would recommend A-202.

We loved staying in Jan's condo on Maui. The view from the second story balcony was priceless and would highly recommend the second story location overlooking the breaking waves and view. It also offers a bit more privacy then having to stay on the ground floor and having persons walking by your unit. The condo was clean and had everythign we needed included ice chests, beach toys and linen. The wahser /dryer came in very handy. The entire complex was immaculate and we loved the fact that we were able to Bar-B-que every night on a clean
unit and save money by eating in. Everything needed in in the condo and in great shape. We plan on returning to this unit in the future and will be recommending it to our friends.

Thank you, Jan, for the use of your lovely condo, Papakae #202. The location is breathtaking - several days I never left the lanai - just soaked in the beautiful water, whales and Molokai. The condo is fully stocked and the washer/dryer are really a plus. It is a very comfortable unit at an outstanding value. Not for a wild and crazy party group, but if you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway, this is the place.

Jan's condo has become our little piece of paradise in an otherwise hectic world. We discovered her "gem" last year and returned this fall to relive what we thought was the best holiday we ever had! But we were wrong - it just keeps getting better. The moment we walked in the door, it felt like we'd come home. I can't for next year!

Wonderful place to stay - very convenient to everything & a beautiful setting. Watched whales & sea turtles every day from the lanai. The snorkeling right out front is great; better than any of the snorkeling spots you pay to be taken to. Mala warf is only a couple blocks away & the snorkeling is very good there also. The condo & grounds are immaculate & have everything you need. If you are looking for a relaxing, private & convenient place to stay on Maui, this is it! Thanks Jan - we had an awesome time - Mahalo!

My wife and myself loved this unit. We found the location to be great. It was within walking distance to all of the downtown shops/restaurants. As well, the local mall with the grocery store was a 3 minute walk.

The unit itself was great as well. It came equipped with everything you needed (i.e. beach chairs, cooler, and all the kitchen gadgets). The unit has a great view of the ocean and the sunsets are amazing to watch directly from your private balcony. We we cooked our own meals we always ate on the balcony. As well, the unit was nice and modern and is well maintained.

Jan was also very helpful. She called us on our first day to ensure we had everything we needed which was a nice touch!

Jan's condo was the by far the best condo we stayed in while on our honeymoon in Hawaii. The location is perfect -- near restaurants, shops, and activities, yet removed enough so that you still are in a relaxing atmosphere. The condo is in great condition, and has all of the amenities you could ask for. The grounds are just as nice, and we enjoyed spending some time at the pool--the sunset is FABULOUS. Mike (the manager) takes impeccable care of the pool and outdoor facilities which also added to the overall appeal of the entire property. We were sad to leave, and cannot wait to return to this condo again!!! Thanks again Jan!

All of the comments on here are true! This place is great. The view from the lani is unbeatable. The first day when we arrived we watched the sunset from the balcony. The jet tub was nice for our sore muscles from trying to surf. We cooked breakfast almost every morning and ate on the lani. The waves are super loud and are great to sleep too. The grounds are SPOTLESS! Mike the manager is very helpful as well. We didn't get a chance to turn the TV on but it was there too. If you are looking for a place to stay this is it. You can walk to Front St! Close to everything!

Lahaina Roads #308 was the right choice for our vacation 10/23/09 - 11/1/09. What we really loved was the small quiet complex, the well-maintained pool and grounds, cleanliness of the unit, stellar ocean view and the walking distance from the Cannery Mall, Old Lahaina Luau, Aloha Mixed Plate and Mala Tavern. The condo was furnished with everything we could possibly need. Many early mornings were spent on the lanai, drinking coffee and watching the sea turtles. The ocean is literally feet from the pool and the sunsets with the boats moored out in the ocean is spectacular! Jan is very helpful with her info she provides on what to do in Maui. She recommended Andreas from Barefoot Tours and that only enhanced our Maui experience. Don't miss sailing on Scotch Mist II, one of our highlights. The Old Lahaina Luau is the luau to go to. We loved walking the Lahaina downtown and if you're reading this, don't hesitate to book this condo whether you're on your honeymoon, celebrating 50 years or just because. Aloha Jan and thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at your beautifully remodeled, clean and comfortable condo 09/02/10 to 09/07/10 (not long enough). We feel we lucked out having booked #308, we know it stands out from the crowd. The location, complex and Resident Manager Jim were all icing on the cake.
